We’re not talking about any of those new features, of course, but that’s what’s coming to Steam this fall with the release of League of Legends: The Wildfire expansion.
In a recent post on the Steam forums, the company announced that the upcoming expansion will bring an extra season of competitive gaming to the platform.
“We’ve listened to your feedback and made changes to make the season even better,” the company wrote.
“This expansion brings a brand new season to the game with brand new gameplay and more to do.”
The update will introduce an eight-week season, which will kick off on April 10 and run until May 30.
There will also be a new mode called Wildfire mode that pits players against each other in a team-based game.
Players will be able to join the league as an individual or as a team of up to four players, with the team owner controlling the goal-scoring machine.
The Wildfire season will be available to play at launch for all players.
That means that players who already own League of Champions will be getting access to the Wildfire game mode.
It will also allow players to join a new team to compete against other teams.
In addition to the season, there will be new modes, new team and player customization, and the option to purchase and use in-game currency.
The game is still in beta and is not available to purchase right now, but the developer said it plans to release it at a later date.
The developer also revealed that the expansion will be free to play, meaning that anyone who purchases the expansion should be able with no restrictions.
The announcement also confirmed that League of Blades is coming to the Steam version of League, which is currently available only to those in North America.
The Steam version is currently free to download for anyone in the United States.
