“I think it’s important that people understand the risks of using marijuana,” the comedian said.
“It is a dangerous drug.
It is not a recreational drug.”
While marijuana can be used to help treat a wide range of medical conditions, it can also be addictive, causing the use of marijuana in combination with other drugs can have deadly consequences.
“I don’t think you should be smoking weed at home,” Walters added.
“If you’re not sure, don’t smoke it.
I don’t care how you feel about it.
Just don’t do it.””
If I had a nickel for every time I smoked marijuana at work, I’d be rich,” he added.
Walters has spoken out against marijuana in the past, calling it a “gateway drug” and “gateways to heroin” in his comedy specials.
In a 2012 interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Walters said, “If I smoked weed and I got hooked on heroin, I would probably be a heroin addict.”
